Fire & Ice Lantern Parade: From 6.20pm

Led by the FlameOz and Calvos, a Fire & Ice Lantern Parade will commence at 6.20pm – where children can participate with their lanterns. The parade will lead to the 35 ft Christmas Tree in the centre of PE1. Following this, the Christmas lights will be switched on.

Sparks in the Park: Firework Show

A 15-minute dazzling display of fantastic fireworks choreographed to Christmas music, will mark the end of PE1’s Fire & Ice Spectacular.

Lights Switch On by Peterborough’s Unsung Hero

PE1 is reaching out to its visitors and shoppers to ask if you know a member of the public who has done something that deserves special recognition this year. Submissions are requested prior to Monday 18th November. On this day, details of these unsung heroes will be collated, and two finalists will be selected. PE1’s Facebook followers will then be asked to vote for their winner. The winner will then switch on PE1’s Christmas lights!

The voting will take place from Monday 18th November to Thursday 21st November on PE1’s Facebook page!

Peterborough Soup Kitchen

PE1 has nominated the Peterborough Soup Kitchen as the charity for a Christmas collection. Visitors can donate to this worthy cause upon entrance to the Spectacular and during the show. LED wands will also be for sale during the event, with proceeds going to the charity. Donations are also welcomed during the Lantern Craft Workshop.

All monies raised will go to help Peterborough’s homeless have hot meals over Christmas time.
